  • Project 1 - Teleportation

    Using my knowledge of Photoshop layers and selection tools I had to “teleport” a person or object from one setting to another. Teleportation is just a fun name for a basic two image composition but working with layers and making clean selections are two of the most important core Photoshop skills.

  • Project 2 - Photo Restoration

      I had to find a scratched or otherwise damaged photo to be scanned and repaired using Photoshop. The photo I found was located online (didn't have any old photos to use). I was not required to print the finished project.

  • Project 3 - Photo Collage

      A photographic collage is a great way of demonstrating how you take images and produce an artistic piece that both communicates and entertains. In Photoshop, I created a multi-layered composition of four images that communicate a message, "Rememberance."

  • Project 4 - Logo

      A logo, also known as a trademark, is an identifying mark for a product, service, or organization. Using my knowledge of the Principles of Iconography and Logo Design I created two logo designs in Adobe Illustrator. I designed one logo for a non-Internet business or service. The second logo was designed for my own marketing materials (portfolio, business cards, resume).

  • Project 5 - Art Redesign

      For this project I chose a photographer friend who is in dire need of a redesigned site. I used Lorem Ipsum as he has added several aspects of his photography but has yet to update his info for me to copy over.

  • Project 6 - Marketing Site

      I created a multi-page web site that sells a service. The focus of the site is to construct a clear, coherent message to my intended audience. Therefore, I needed to know my product as well as whom my target audience is. The site should convince members of my audience why my service is the best choice. The site is Shift Photography, which I also own.

  • Project 7 - Site Redesign

      For this project I had to redesign a website. I chose to use my current photography site for several reasons. Mainly it is a template that is like so many other sites and second it had been hacked. I built this from the ground up using jquery, javascript, CSS, and HTML.

  • Project 9 - Group Project

      Our group was called iDesign Studios and our client was "The Run Spot". We were asked to design a website to cater to the passionate runner. I was the Project Manager for our group and also created the static ad, flash commercial, scrolling logos, and The Run Spot logo.
